Dermalogica IonActive Power Treatment, Nouveau Lash LVL & Gelish - Julie's Diary - Week 19

Hey all πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹

It's week 19 at Mint Kilkenny and what a beautiful sunny day it is in the marble city! 🌞

The first of today's treatment was with the lovely Iza for removal and application of gelish. After getting my nails into a nice shape and doing all the necessary cuticle work, We picked out a gorgeous light blue colour and Iza accented it with a thin glitter strip going down the centre of the nail..... FAB!!! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™
And perfect for Easter too 🐣🐣

(Easter hint: don't buy your chocolate eggs for family too far in advance... Because you WILL end up eating them yourself πŸ˜±πŸ«πŸ˜‹πŸ™ˆ #ihavenowillpowerwhenitcomestochocolate πŸ˜‚)

Right, onto the next treatment!
Off I go with Iza, downstairs to my cosy treatment room and I get myself ready for my DERMALOGICA Ion Active Power Facial. I had this amazing facial once before at the beginning of my #mintjourney and I loved it!
What's so good about it you say??

Well for a start, it's a treatment that's designed personally to you and your skin needs πŸ‘Œ
A thorough face mapping and skin analysis is carried out by your dermalogica expert therapist. Wether it's skin conditions such as premature aging, acne or dehydration that you suffer from, your therapist will be able to determine which key "active concentrates" will be applied to your skin to get the best results 😊

(Now... Here comes the big fancy word sciencey bit πŸ’πŸ˜‚)

Some of the different active concentrates that can be used are:

Retinol: This firms and reduces visible signs of skin aging.

Niacinamide: This controls and prevents adult acne breakouts.

Hyaluronic Acid: This relieves dehydrated sensitive skin.

Oligopeptide: This brightens hyperpigmentation/age spots for a more balanced skin tone.

Because my skin was a little sensitive and dry, Iza used mostly used "hyaluronic acid" all over my face, which is jam packed full of hydrating ingredients, but she also used a little "niacinamide" around my nose and chin where I had a little congestion and pesky blocked pores! This made the treatment really tailor made for my skin 😊

After these "actives" are applied, they become supercharged when massaged into skin. You can feel warmth or cooling on the skin, depending on products used... It's a lovely sensation! 😌
Iza then used the ion active machine which literally resembled an iPhone for all the world πŸ˜„ ...As Iza moved this across my chest, neck and face, it gave off little soothing vibrations as it worked it's magic πŸ’†

The scientific technology in this little magic machine really helps the super ingredients to penetrate faster and deeper into the skin than a regular facial would...... Fanfreakintastic!!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

After the treatment, my skin felt really soft and refreshed and looked brighter ✨
I'm looking forward to seeing even more progress over the next few treatments 😊

Right, onto the next treatment we go lol!!
I'm a busy bee lol 🐝🐝
For this treatment, I was with the lovely Nadine for my Nouveau Lashes LVL Lash Lift..... Yaaaaaaas!!!! πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
This revolutionary treatment is taking the lash industry by storm and definitely something worth trying!

I've had this done at Mint once before and I was seriously gobsmacked by the difference it made to my eyes and lashes πŸ‘€ πŸ‘€
I love this treatment because it enhances your natural lashes without the need for extensions or even mascara!

The LVL treatment is different from eyelash perms as it straightens from the root of the lashes and uses gentle products that don't cause damage βœ”
When done, it gives the effect of longer fuller lashes and brighter eyes βœ”
Aaaaand, there's also an eyelash tint included in it which leaves your lashes with the effect of having mascara on βœ”

The whole treatment takes about 45 minutes and can last upto 6-8 weeks. And it's all carried out while the eyes are closed so you can just lie back and relax πŸ˜ŠπŸ’€
As always, Nadine is such a perfectionist and I was delighted with how they turned out! 😍

If any of these treatments float your boat, be sure to give the girls in Mint a call for more info πŸ’š

Hope you guys enjoyed this weeks blog...
See you all next week.

Bye for now πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹
