Hey all!!! 👋👋👋
It’s week 14 as #faceofmint 🙌🙌🙌
Aaaaaaand another “snapchat takeover” was underway at Mints salon in Kilkenny.
We have soooo much fun with snapchat during my treatments. It’s great for you guys too as you get to come along and join in on the fun while getting a better insight into treatments available in the salon 😊
Be sure to add Mint on Snapchat to keep up to date with all the news, new products and treatments, promotions and of course the snapchat takeover shenanigans!!
This week I was back with my #browgenius Marie, yay! 🙌🙌 💗💗
Marie started off with a nice warm brown coloured tint that suited my complexion and colouring. Then she carefully measured my natural brow arch and worked out the best shape to suit my face. She then began the threading technique. I LOVE threading!!! 😍😍
Basically, your trained therapist takes a thin cotton/polyester thread, doubles and twists it and its then, very skilfully rolled over the areas of unwanted hair with absolute precision, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time. Threading can remove short rows of hair making it way more efficient too. It originated in India over 6000 years ago and then spread through Asia, the middle east and then on to Europe.... so, being around this long and still going strong, it shows us that its tried and tested and it works! 👍👍
The great thing about threading is that it can be used all over the face, be it your eyebrows, lip, chin, sides of face or neck and it’s a great option for someone who might be sensitive to hair removal creams or waxing.
As always, I was super happy with the finished result. My brows were really defined with a lovely, natural shape and the framed my face perfectly. It made such a difference to my whole face....😙
Thanks Marie!! 😁😁💗💗
My next treatment was with the fantastic Iza for my Soothing Foot and Leg Massage..... I just love Iza. She’s so nice and she’s an absolute fountain of knowledge!! ⛲Win win!! 👍
I was REALLY looking forward to this treatment as it wasn’t long after Valentines day and being a florist 🌹, you could just imagine how busy it was and I was on my feet for long hours at a time, so I was looking forward to a bit of pampering after it at Mint.
Iza brought me down to my cosy treatment room with a lovely heated bed, relaxing lighting and music and a gorgeous Neom Organics candle burning in the corner that smelled divine!! 👃👃
Something else that smelled divine was the oil that she used.... it was the Germaine De Capuccini firming body oil with Baobab oil. "Baobab oil" being the super ingredient in this. It has firming and tightening properties which are particularly good for use on the leg area, especially the thighs, as let’s face it...unfortunately I’m no super toned “beyonce” 😜 although I wish I was! (dance moves and all 💃💃💃 lol!!) So, I’ll take all the help I can get on my jiggly bits, which alot of us are prone to.
Leg massage is often overlooked, with many of us opting for maybe a back, neck and shoulder massage, but alot of the time back pain can actually stem from stiff or tight leg muscles, so we should really be working from our toes up! 👣👣
Plus many of us (myself included) suffer from the dreaded cellulite/Orange peel!! 🍊🍊👎👎
Especially on the backs of my upper thighs, so regular massage on this area can help to get rid of any fluid retention, helping to disperse those nasty toxins and help to improve the overall appearance of your skin.
I’ll definitely be booking back in for another foot and leg massage in the future. Iza really did work out the tightness in my muscles and I felt alot better after it 👏
So that’s all for week 14 guys....
Something SUPER exciting is coming for the next diary blog entry 😁😁😉😉😀😀
Sooooo........STAY TUNED!!!! Xxxx
Bye for now 👋👋👋
