Germaine de Capuccini SRNS Global Anti-Aging Facial - Julie's Diary - Week 17

Hey all!! xx

It's week 17 and I'm back at Mint to try out their renowned Germaine De Cappucinni SNRS Facial..... Yaaaaaaaaasssss!!!! :) :) :)

Mint Kilkenny were one of the very first salons in all of Ireland to Launch this Facial which is an Anti-Aging face and eye treatment based on "epigenetics".

Now.... What the heck are Epigenetics you say???

Well.... here's the science bit! (I always wanted to say that lol)

Right! So every day, thousands of our little skin cells are damaged by lifestyle and environmental aggressions like central heating, pollution and lots of other nasty stuff and over time, the gene structure within these cells becomes unable to repair itself and stops producing essential proteins that naturally slow down the ageing process.

Well the great thing about this facial is that it is scientifically tested and proven to reactivate these dormant/sleepy genes and boosts cellular regeneration and skin renewal using “Epigenol” and “Zinc-Glycine Complex”. (very scientific altogether!)

So in a nutshell, this facial is a SUPER powerful all-round anti-ageing treatment that provides firming, wrinkle reduction, revitalisation, improved pigmentation and hydration.

Absolutely BRILLIANT!!!

I've heard so much about it and i've been dying to try it out!!

My therapist today was Iza. I love Iza as she is always a wealth of information and knows her products and all of their properties inside out. She is so passionate about what she does and carries out her treatments with such precision and care!

As always, i was cosied up in my lovely warm treatment bed and the facial started off with your normal double cleanse and exfoliation, followed by relaxing face and decolletage massage with very different twist! Iza used specially shaped metal spoons that were chilled in iced water, along with the heat of her hands to carry out the massage all across the decolletage, neck and face. The chilled spoons were especially soothing around the eye area which can often be tired and puffy. This treatment gives great relief from this!

After the massage was finished, it was onto the mask which is what I was most excited about! Iza applied it to my neck and all over my face, covering my mouth and my closed eyes. This was so so different from any face mask i'd had before. I could breath easily through my nose, And because my mouth and eyes were closed, I felt I was just able to completely disconnect from the busyness of the outside world and I just completely relaxed whilst all the amazing ingredients worked their magic.

And work their magic is exactly what they did!!

When Iza peeled the mask off, my skin felt so nice and cool and revived. I know it sounds a bit corny but its absolutely true!

I couldn't get over how fresh and dewy it looked and it was lovely and soft to touch. It literally felt like it was packed with hydration and I was floating on air after it.

I really took it as a little "time out", which we all deserve from time to time. I felt like i was really able to switch off during the treatment.

I will definitely be having this facial again and i cant rave enough about it!

It's definitely worth trying out, mostly for the great benefits it has on your skin and how you feel after it but also for the actual entire experience of the whole treatment.

It would make the perfect treat for yourself, for a loved one or even for our lovely Mammy's for Mothers Day this weekend.

I cant wait to bring my own mammy up to Mint to try it out, I Know she's going to love it!

That's all from me for week 17,

I hope you guys enjoyed this weeks diary entry,

See you all next time,

Bye for now,

Julie xxx
