Deep Tissue Massage & Eyebrow Threading - Julie's Diary - Week 11

Mint Diary,

Week 11

Hey all!! πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

This week at Mint was amaaaazing!! But then again, that's nothing new lol 😍

My first appointment was to get my eyebrows done with the absolutely lovely Marie who is a head therapist at Mint (and in-salon #browgenius πŸ™Œ)

Now... I hadn't gotten around to getting my brows done for a while and with them being very fair naturally, they were basically non existent on my face πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ #nareaneyebrow

I couldn't wait to get them sorted because they really are such an important feature on your face (and in your selfies!! lol πŸ˜™)

Marie asked me how dark I would like to go with them and then mixed and applied the tint to my brows.

After the tint was done, she then began to thread those pesky unwanted hairs and created a beautiful shape that suited my natural brow.

I'm always amazed at how threading is done! It's so unique in that there's no wax... no's litteraly just a piece of thread! And in the good hands of a trained therapist, it can work wonders! Unlike tweezing, which only allows you to pluck one hair at a time, threading plucks the hair at the follicle level and can remove short rows of hair at a time. And opposed to waxing, it gives a much more precise control in shaping your brows and it has much less pull and is gentler on the skin which is brilliant in the long run! 😊 πŸ‘

When Marie was done and happy with the finished result she showed me in the mirror and to say I was delighted would be an understatement!!!!!! πŸ‘€

The colour, the shape... EVERYTHING was just perfect! I was so happy to actually have eyebrows again! πŸ˜‚

And I've been getting lovely compliments on them since 😊

Next up was my appointment with the lovely Laura for deep tissue massage... I was really looking forward to this, as like all of us... the everyday wear and tear and sometimes lifes stresses can take its toll on us πŸ‘Ž All of this can cause a build up of tension in our muscles leading to stiffness and pains. This tension build up is also known as "lactic acid" which are like little crystals in your muscles that need to be broken down through massage.... and boy did Laura do that! πŸ’ͺ

I just LOVE deep tissue massage!! The stronger the better for me. I love getting all those knots worked out bacause you really feel the massage has benefited you and done you good!

Although, everyone is different and you can always tell your therapist your preference 😊

During my massage, Laura used the Daily Boost Oil from the Neom Organics London Range who h is available to buy at Mint. This oil has safflower, jojoba, spearmint, peppermint, mandarin and 5 other lovely essential oils, all chosen for their ability to boost energy and nourish the skin πŸ’›

The best thing about this oil is that it can be used as a facial cleanser, face oil, body oil and a hair treatment oil too which makes it soooo versatile!!!

There's 3 yummy scents to choose from too, depending on your needs.

Laura finished the last part of my massage with lovely relaxing movements, so I got the best of both worlds and left the treatment room feeling refreshed and walking on air! ☁☁✨✨

That's all for this week.

Lots of exciting stuff lined up for next week!! 😁😁

Hope you enjoyed my little diary 😊

Bye for now πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹
