Alumier MD Glow Peel - Julie's Diary

Hi all!! 👋👋👋

It is week 33 as #faceofmint and there's a SUPER exciting new treatment on the cards 😁😁

Brand new to Mint Kilkenny is ALUMIER MD skin care range and Face Peels 💆🙌

After my consultation with Sheila, She advised the the AlumierMD GLOW PEEL would be of benefit to me as I can suffer from dry skin and hyperpigmentation/sunspots.

This treatment was customised, just for me and it includes an exfoliating peel treatment, brightening enhancement, followed by prescriptive target serums which reveal a more radiant, soft, and luminous skin............. Ehhhhhh???? YES PLEASE!!!! 😍😍😍😍

Alumier MD products, both professional and home care, are known to deliver outstanding results, while being free of parabens, sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil and dyes..... Can I get a hell yeah!! 🙋🙋👍👍

The Glow Peel combines lactic acid, salicylic acid, and resorcinol which creates a multipurpose resurfacing solutution which is AMAZING for minimizing the appearance of fine lines, pores, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation issues like age spots, discolouration, and uneven skin tone 👌😲😍

It works by deeply exfoliatiating dead skin cells which in turn, stimulates cell renewal 💫💫
Yaaaaaaaaaasss gurrrrrrl!!

The Glow Peel can be customized by strength by the numbers of layers thay are applied by your trained therapist. This will be tailor made to suit each person through your initial consultation 😊

It works great on all skin types, wether it be dry, normal, oily, dehydrated, acne prone, hyperpigmentation or ageing skin...... Even all of the above together!!??? 😂

Because, let's face it.... It's that time of year when the summer is well and truly over... The cold weather is most definitely making an appearance...

(oh my god I'm such a perisher 😨😨.... The only upside is cozy cardigans and jumpers and the excuse for a new winter wardrobe 😂 yay!!)

...which in turn means central heating is on and fires are lit....So basically, our skin is all over the shop and probably crying out for a bit of help 😩

And that's where Alumier MD and Mint Kilkenny comes in!! 👊

To describe the process of this peel. It starts out with a cleanse and as I said before, a skin consultation to determine how many layers and treatments would be necessary to achieve the result you need.

After this, the peel is then applied all over the face and left to work it's magic for a minute or so, depending on your skin type etc...
While it is on, Sheila was so lovely and was always checking with me to make sure I was comfortable 👍💗

The sensation of the peel on the skin was a progressive warm, tingly feeling.... It was a little strong in scent, but absolutely fine 😊

It was removed thoroughly with cold water, which instantly cooled the skin.
Then the most gorgeous, post peel recovery balm was used on my skin with the most soothing ingredients which included the likes of Aloe Vera, Shea butter, jaboba oil and relaxing lavender.... and that was it! I was all done.... It's such a quick process 😊😊

Sheila explained my aftercare routine and what to expect in the coming days and I was sent home with my Alumier MD home care products, which included:

1.SensiCalm Cleanser.
2.Recovery Balm ( that's the lovely lavender scented gorgeousness that Sheila used on my skin, post peel).
3.Sheer Hydration Broad Spectrum SPF40 Sunscreen (it's super important to use a good sunscreen as you need to protect your skin after the treatment!
This particular sunscreen from the Alumier MD range is a real Break through in sun protection!!! 👏👏
The reason being is because it is a "physical sun protection" ...so in other words, you have to "physically" remove it in order for it to stop doing its job!! #GAMECHANGER 👍👍
So it's not like other creams that lose their protection strength and break down after a short time and have to be reapplied constantly!! 👎👎)

My morning routine for the following 5-7 days was to use the cleanser, recovery balm and sunscreen....
And then just the cleanser and recovery balm before bed.
It's good to follow this regimen for the best results 😊

The day after my peel, I could feel my skin was a little tighter and very smooth.... The days following after, my skin started to flake a little in places bit by bit....
Now, when you are deciding on a peel.... You know that this is going to happen. It has to in order to reveal the gorgeous smooth skin beneath, so the few days of a few flakes here and there are TOTALLY worth it!!! 👌👌👌

But if you feel you might be a little conscious about this then it's best to plan your peel on a week that you don't have any big events or parties etc 😊

While I'm writing this, as of today, I'm about a week and a half over my peel and I am IN LOVE with my new skin!!!! 😍😍😍

I've already been complimented by friends and even customers in work.... 💗  I'm being told that I have 'beautiful skin"... Or that my skin is "glowing" which is ironic as it is the "Glow Peel" from AlumierMD that I had done 😁😁
So it literally does exactly what it says 😂👍

I'll be doing a course of these peels and I'm looking forward to keeping you guys posted on how it goes so that you can keep track of what I'm up to, if you are interested in trying it for yourself 😊😊 Xxx

I'll be doing another little feature post shortly on some of the other Alumier MD products that I'm using too! 😁

That's all for this week!
Hope you enjoyed my little post,

Bye for now 👋👋👋
Julie 💗💗💗
